Asynchronous communication - a type of communication that does not require that every person involved in the conversation has to automatically respond to the message conveyed to them. Within this framework, a distributed cloud located on an independent server is used. The consequence of using this type of technology is that the employee is able to complete his duties without the need for him to automatically answer questions or requests from the customer. Therefore, he can put it on hold and the message sent by the consumer will be left in the cloud. It is thanks to this solution that productivity has significantly increased - mainly due to the fact that information can be transferred between different time zones without the obligation to automatically receive it.

Examples of an asynchronous communication

Headquartered in the UK, the company has more than 50 different arcade games spread across the continent in shopping malls. Due to the fact that shopping centers are opened and closed at different times due to time differences, contacting the Branch Manager is not very easy. Hence, if any situation should happen during the closing of the headquarters, such a manager has two choices:

  • Wait during your shift until the opening time of the seat arrives; or
  • Try to fix the problem yourself.

In this case, synchronous communication behavior is described. However, in the case of asynchronous technology, it can pass on information to headquarters and wait until they receive it in the morning and can take appropriate action[1].

Appling asynchronous communication system

Introducing asynchronous communication is a complex process. However, the basic tool that a company needs is permanent access to the Internet. Then, by applying appropriate communicators, it can create an internal network. Nevertheless, this is a costly activity and therefore corporations purchase external software from companies specializing in its production [2]. In addition, with current technological developments, it is possible to leave not only text messages, but also audio or video messages. This broadens the spectrum of possibilities for such organizations to a much greater extent. Thanks to this, they are able to present a visual and a given problem and comment on it in real time[3]. Ultimately, it is worth mentioning that no more non-invasive and effective communication system has been invented. For the time being, the only way to change this would be to be able to move from one place to another at the same time as messaging. However, this is not technologically possible (with current standards), so all corporations focus on improving this model of cooperation and communication. What is more, they use it every day in their business solutions and implement it when opening new branches and branches.
